There’s nothing like a good bowl of soup. Soup can really be comforting and sometimes the perfect end to a perfect day is turning on your security systems Boulder service, sitting on the couch, watching television and enjoying a nice warm bowl of soup. There are many different kinds of soup but for the best experience I recommend a hardy bowl of Crawfish Chowder. It’s easy to make and I’ll show you how.

First, let’s talk about what you will need:
2 pounds of frozen crawfish
1/4 cup of butter
1/2 bunch of chopped green onions
2 cans of condensed cream of potato soup
2 cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup
4 ounces of cream cheese softened
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

Now, let’s talk about what you will need to do.
1. For starters, clean those crawfish and be sure and melt that butter in a large skillet on medium heat.

2. Now saut the green onions until tender and then add the crawfish for sauting for about 5 minutes.

3. Take a large pot over medium heat and combine the cream of potato soup, the cream of mushroom soup and cream cheese. Then stir in the green onions and crawfish.

4. Just add a touch of cayenne pepper and bring to a boil, then let simmer for 5 minutes.

Many people only purchase frozen seafood out of long desolate freezer isles. There are always shrimp and fillets in the freezer section, but don’t be so quick to discount the fresh seafood . As a nation, we are always on the look out for the best deals, but don’t be afraid to pay a little bit more for that fresh piece of Salmon! The cost of fresh seafood versus frozen sometimes leads us to an unappetizing fish in stick form. Someone once told me “If your grandparents wouldn’t recognize it as food, don’t eat it.” Sage advice when thinking of eating anything in “stick” form. Of course lots of great options exist in the frozen foods section. I like to purchase frozen when I can see straight through the packaging to the fish itself. Looking for freezer burn is important as seafood dries out easily losing flavor. Just remember to check packaging for expiration dates. A great deal is only good as the dish it makes. The fresh seafood available in our markets is so varied that sales are quite common. A fresh piece of swordfish marinated and grilled can really make your summer BBQ stand out amidst a sea of burger patties. Remember, when shopping for the best dinner deal in the seafood department , the best deal is not always the best meal!

The Bounty Of The Sea
Whole civilizations of the past have maintained healthy diets based solely upon seafood. The world of seafood recipes are a treasure trove awaiting the adventurous cook. Seafood can be steamed, baked, broiled, fried, used in soups, salads and make wonderful sandwiches for kids and adults.

Freshwater Delights
Lakes, rivers and streams where fishing is encouraged provide some of the tastiest freshwater fish. For the very freshest of these consider trout, pike and salmon. It’s impossible to be a well-rounded gastronome without the joy of a freshly poached salmon, grilled trout or baked pike. The flavor of such freshness is clean, sweet and absolutely unique. Catch your own or purchase them from freshwater fishmongers. Preparation is easy. Poach salmon in a saut pan with water to cover and a teaspoon of lime juice, freshly squeezed. Serve with a salad. Healthy and delicious! Grill or bake trout and pike. Add a grilled potato. Accent with a squeeze of lemon.

Saltwater Fish And Shellfish
Tuna, shark, bluefish, mahi mahi, cod and scrod are some of the most popular saltwater fish. Oysters, clams, shrimp, lobster and crab are most enjoyable shellfish. Crab is available in hard or soft shell.
